Very comfortable, light and durable handmade modern guitar pick made of high quality peek & torlon with drilled holes and glow-in-the-dark material in the front part near the tip. Thanks to the drilled holes on the entire surface, it was possible to reduce the weight to a minimum, making this plectrum one of the lightest in its overall size class.
Shape: Teardrop
Dimensions: Length: 36mm, Width: 27mm,
Handcrafted (sawn, drilled, carved, shaped and polished) using only workshop power tools.
The plectrum is non-standard thickness for a reason. Namely, a large thickness minimizes movement, increases precision, strength and speed. Therefore playing the guitar requires less effort, which is a relief for the player. As a result, the player will have fewer muscle cramps and tensions, and more comfortable playing.
Torlon is a material for perfectionists who are looking for:
- Indestructible durability - a plectrum "for life",
- Warm, balanced sound with an emphasis on midrange and bass,
- Precise control in technically demanding genres (progressive metal, fusion, jazz).
Torlon is an icon among premium materials - not for everyone, but in the hands of the right guitarist it becomes an irreplaceable tool.
1. **Basic properties of Torlon:**
- **Material:** Torlon is an ultra-durable thermoplastic from the polyamide-imide (PAI) group, considered one of the most durable engineering plastics.
- **Thermal resistance:** Withstands temperatures above **270°C**, which has no direct significance in the game, but indicates structural stability.
- **Mechanical strength:** The highest among thermoplastics - resistant to abrasion, cracking, impacts and creep (deformation under long-term load).
- **Stiffness: High, but with moderate vibration absorption - reduces the "metallic" aftertaste of sound typical of other hard materials.
- **Density:** Low (approx. 1.4 g/cm³), which makes the plectrum lightweight despite its thicker size.
2. **Impact on sound:**
- **Timbre:** Torlon gives the sound a warm, organic tone with an emphasized midrange and deep bass, while toning down excessive high-frequency sharpness.
- **Attack:** Precise, but less "glassy" than PEEK or kirinite - more muffled, but clear.
- **Dynamic response:** Thanks to vibration absorption, the sound is less analytical and more "musical", which works well in genres that require expression (e.g. blues, jazz).
3. **Durability:**
- **Indestructibility:** Torlon is virtually indestructible – plectrums made of this material can last for years, even during intensive play.
- **Resistance to deformation: Does not deform under pressure, moisture or time (no creep).
- **String protection:** Thanks to its smooth surface and low friction, it minimizes string wear, which is important for players who value consistency of sound.
4. **Playability**
- **Stiffness** Torlon is very stiff, which requires a precise grip, but provides control over dynamics - ideal for fast techniques (shredding, tapping).
- **Sliding:** The smooth surface facilitates smooth sliding over the strings, especially in techniques such as sweep picking or arpeggios.
- **Ergonomics:** Despite the stiffness, moderate vibration absorption reduces vibrations transferred to the hand, increasing comfort during long sessions.
PEEK (Polyetheretherketone) is recognized as one of the most versatile and efficient materials on the market. A characteristic feature of PEEK is the combination of unique properties in one material.
Strength properties:
- Hardness: high (similar to hard metal)
- Abrasion resistance: close to Torlon but still lower
- Stiffness: extreme - virtually zero deflection
- Chemical resistance: unsaturated - sweat resistant
Sound characteristics:
- Attack: aggressive and fast with a metallic "ping" in the high notes
- Sound: bright, clear with excellent sound separation
Example use: shredding, technical metal, where speed and legibility of notes are important.

Simply the best plectrum for me, the Torlon is more or less indestructible, while at the same time delivering ultimate smoothness and attack. This extra-light model allows an XXL plectrum to still feel nimble.

The best pick for me, oversized but still light. Excellent definition and now that I can get it in next to ultra-hardwearing Torlon it's the ultimate pick for me.

Absolutely amazing pick. I recently got exposed to the world of extra thick picks and I am kicking myself for waiting this long to try! I was blown away by the impact this pick had on my playing. I play a variety of music but on electric guitar I play a lot of fast paced metal (both rhythm and lead). I can honestly say that my right hand is more relaxed with the thicker pick (over the dunlop sharp 1.35mm and ernie ball prodigy 2mm I had been using). My chugs felt crisper, tremolo picking faster, and accuracy when string skipping just felt insane! Ive been playing for years and have used many picks over the years but this one has made me a believer in the extra thick. The price is steep for a single pick but the quality is there and I am told these last quite a while. ONE PICK TO RULE THEM ALL!
